We went ahead and dropped the CTY’s center of gravity, so that you stick to the road and ride with even more control. The streets just became your playground.
DECEPTIVELY COMPACT.
Don’t let the compact form factor fool you. The CTY2 can handle climbing angles of 45 degrees. All you have to do is twist and smile. Basically, if you can hang on, the CTY2 will take you there.

We went ahead and dropped the CTY’s center of gravity, so that you stick to the road and ride with even more control. The streets just became your playground. 60 volts of instant torque at the twist of the throttle. Hell, yes. Throttle mode selection lets you choose your ride, while a 23ah (1380wh) battery capacity fuels up to 3 hours of riding and a 60+ mile range. Explore the city or rip up your favorite campground with ease.
Design
We’ve increased the volume of the battery carriage to accomodate a battery that delivers more power and capacity. We’ve moved the speed controller to the bottom of the frame for maximum cooling and airflow performance. Integrated LED Lights – Comes with both brake lights and our signature Headlight with Halo Running Light and Ultra Bright High Beam.

BACK ORDER FULFILMENT PER ONYX WEBSITE: Bikes are built in the order they are received by ONYX. On average bike builds take 60 to 90 days, however, this is not a guarantee. During busier seasons, lead times can take longer. Once the bike leaves ONYX’s California facility, shipment time can take up to 7 days to Detroit Moped Works. Please note these are estimates and not guarantees; while ONYX tries to meet these timelines, they do not advise making plans based on an estimated lead time for an order.
*What does this mean for you & why should you buy your ONYX from Detroit Moped Works?!?* If you’ve got your heart set on an ONYX, realistic wait times are currently closer to 6-9 months. If you order through Detroit Moped Works, direct from their website, and/or from any other 3rd party that does not have the bikes in hand; the wait time will be the same. There is no getting around it. BUT if you order through Detroit Moped Works:
-We receive the bike then inspect, professionally assemble, test, and adjust the bike before sending it home with you. (We know how they are “supposed to ride / feel”)
-We resolve any damage and/or warranty issues needed upon arrival.
-We recycle or re-purpose shipping packaging.
-We can make any requested mods before pick up.
-We will be your ONYX service center.
-You will feel good for supporting a small local brick and mortar shop.
