Returns and exchanges for mopeds, parts and accessories are accepted in store within 7 days provided the item is in the same condition as when it was purchased. Items are subject to a 20% restocking fee .
Warranty on mopeds purchased from Detroit Moped Works
60 day limited labor warranty on reconditioned moped purchases
Warranty begins at the time of purchase and is not extendable or transferable. Warranty only covers the cost of labor. The cost of addition and/or replacement of parts is the customer’s responsibility. Any repairs or modifications done outside of Detroit Moped Works will immediately void this warranty.
Six month limited warranty on new 2017 Tomos moped purchases
Warranty begins at the time of purchase and is not extendable or transferable. This warranty is only available for new and unmodified 2017 Tomos models. Any repairs or part replacements done outside of Detroit Moped Works will immediately void this warranty. Any modifications or upgrades will immediately void this warranty.
Detroit Moped Works recommends waiting until the six month warranty period ends before making any modifications to a new Tomos moped.
Warranty exclusions
- Flat tires and/or objects embedded in tires;
- Damage caused from crashes, negligence or general misuse;
- Complications due to improper gas mixture;
- Issues arising from excessive water exposure;
- Damage caused by environment and/or social disasters
Warranty on repair/modification services
60 day limited labor warranty on moped repairs/modifications
Warranty on repair or modification work applies only to the areas of the moped that were serviced. Warranty begins at the time of pickup and is not extendable or transferable. Warranty work is considered fulfilled once the moped is returned to the condition in which the customer purchased. Warranty only covers the cost of labor. The cost of addition and/or replacement of parts is the customer’s responsibility. Any repairs or modifications done outside of Detroit Moped Works will immediately void this warranty.
